DOL Exempt Salary-Level Threshold

The Department of Labor’s proposed salary-level increase for exempt employees is expected in the next few months. Currently, an exempt employee must make $23,660 annually to qualify as an exempt employee.  The new salary-level is expected to increase to $35,308.  In addition to meeting the salary-level threshold, the job duties must meet specific requirements for a position to be exempt.
